Fire Dance

She wakes in the night
Eyes wide open without sight
She dresses in red
Silk robes that she laid on the bed
She goes to the moon
In her head there plays a strange tune
And as the notes get higher
She dances like fire

She swoops she writhes
She gyrates and turns
She stoops she dives
She gyrates and twirls
She can't stop
She has no chance She's taken over by the dance
And as the notes get higher
She dances like fire

He sees her from his room
She's silhouetted against the moon
He watches - he hears no sound
He wonders what he's found
And as the moon gets higher
He burns with desire

He finds her - he thinks by chance
They come together and they dance
The village comes to watch the sight
Two people dancing through the night

They light at suns first fire
Sacrificial fire
